The property owner and manager had limited insight into the condition of the building envelope, making it difficult to identify sources of energy loss and potential defects.
A full inspection of the building’s external envelope was conducted using both thermal imaging and RGB data. The survey covered all facades and roof areas to ensure a complete dataset for analysis.
FINDINGS
Significant energy leakage was identified across multiple areas of the building envelope. Several deviations related to insulation performance and air leakage were documented, providing a clear overview of the building’s condition.
OUTCOME
The client received a comprehensive engineering report including detailed descriptions of each finding, root causes, and recommended actions. Implementation of the proposed measures is estimated to reduce energy consumption by over 300,000 kWh per year, enabling more efficient energy optimization and prioritization of future maintenance efforts.
Real Estate Portfolio in London
The client needed better visibility and control over roof and facade conditions across the portfolio in order to improve maintenance planning and make more informed decisions on future repair priorities.
Efficient data capture was completed across 26 properties by one of our commercial partners. The work included systematic collection of roof and facade data, creating a consistent and scalable basis for detailed analysis and reporting across the full portfolio.
FINDINGS
Several properties were found to have critical defects and deficiencies on both roofs and facades. A number of these issues represented a significant risk and required prioritised attention to prevent further deterioration and more extensive future repair costs.
OUTCOME
The client received detailed reports covering the agreed portfolio, enabling a more structured and prioritised approach to maintenance. Based on the recommended actions, repairs could be planned and carried out with greater precision, improving control across the portfolio.
